Job Summary

The Design Specialist at Cyient, Inc. will be responsible for creating and developing innovative design solutions for a variety of projects, ensuring adherence to client specifications and industry standards. This role involves translating concepts into detailed designs and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Job Responsibilities

* Develop and execute design concepts from initial ideation through to final production using Comsof tool.
* Utilize CAD software and other design tools to create detailed 2D and 3D models, drawings, and specifications.
* Interpret and apply engineering drawings, schematics, and technical documents.
* Collaborate effectively with engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure design feasibility and alignment with project goals.
* Conduct design reviews, identify potential issues, and propose solutions.
* Maintain accurate documentation of design processes, revisions, and project files.
* Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and recent design technologies.




* Ensure all designs comply with relevant safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
* Participate in client meetings to understand requirements and present design solutions.

Job Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field.
* 3+ years of experience in a design-related role, preferably within a consulting or engineering services environment.
* Proficiency in ComSof and CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, Creo).
* Strong understanding of design principles, materials, manufacturing processes, and engineering mechanics.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts effectively.
* Experience with PLM/PDM systems is a plus.
