Job Description & Responsibilities
• Create and manage data marts, SQL Server Objects, including tables, views, stored procedures, triggers, etc., according to business requirements.
• Architect the database for reporting efficiency, and implement best practices.
• Optimize queries, stored procedures, and indexes to improve reporting performance.
• Participate in design sessions with other developers in the development team.
• Analyze data and provide recommendations for new reports/dashboards.
• Communicate effectively with different groups, and work as a team-player.
• Perform on-going research to explore new features, versions, and related technologies, and provide recommendations to enhance our offerings.
• Assist with the transfer of knowledge of technical skills.
• Competent to work at the highest level of all phases of software development.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
Education
• BE, B. Tech, M. Tech in Computer Science or equivalent.
Certifications
• Knowledge of CLR(C#) SQL functions.
• Knowledge of Database Replication.
• Knowledge of Online Analytical Processing (OLAP)/Data-Warehousing.
• Knowledge of Performance Tuning and Optimisation.
• Knowledge of Relational Database Management System (RDBMS).
• Knowledge of SQL.
• Knowledge of Store Procedure.
• Knowledge of SSIS.
• Knowledge of SSRS.
Work Experience
• 04 to 12 years of experience as a SQL Developer.
• Experience in Airlines or travel domain is a plus.
Skills
• Excellent problem solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
• Extensive knowledge of T-SQL language.
• Thorough understanding of database schema design and concepts.
• Very solid knowledge of Relational Database Management System (RDBMS) concepts within SQL Server 2005 or above.
• Strong understanding of Online Analytical Processing (OLAP)/Data-Warehousing concepts.
• Knowledge of : SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) is a huge plus.
• Proficient in data validation, interpreting and displaying data.
