At *Blue Cross Vets Clinic*, a private setup, we’re a team of passionate people brought together by a shared commitment to animal wellbeing. We’re looking for a caring, reliable *Veterinary Assistant* who enjoys working with animals and people, takes pride in the little details, and wants to contribute to a dedicated clinical team.

*What you’ll do*
- Support veterinarians during examinations and minor procedures.
- Help with safe, gentle animal handling, restraint, and preparation.
- Monitor animals’ behaviour and comfort, reporting observations to the veterinary team.
- Keep treatment areas clean, safe, and organised, and prepare instruments and supplies.
- Maintain basic patient records and help coordinate appointments.
- Welcome pet caregivers and reinforce veterinarian-approved aftercare instructions with patience and clarity.

*What we’re looking for*
- A compassionate approach to animals and a commitment to their welfare.
- Animal care skills,



including safe handling, observation, and basic hygiene.
- Transparent communication and a warm, professional approach to client service.
- Basic knowledge of veterinary terminology and the ability to follow clinical protocols.
- Attention to detail, reliability, and a collaborative attitude in a busy clinic.

Experience in a veterinary clinic, animal shelter, or pet care setting is preferred. A relevant diploma or certificate in veterinary assistance or animal science is a plus.
