SAP Technical Architect (ECC to S/4HANA, ABAP on HANA)
Experience: 12-16 years
Location: Bengaluru
Role summary: You will own the technical architecture and custom-code strategy for large ECC-to-S/4HANA transformations and ongoing AMS programs, and act as the design authority for all RICEFW objects across the landscape.
Key responsibilities Extensive experience in Migration from ECC to S4/HANA. Define end-to-end technical architecture for greenfield, brownfield and selective data transition programs, including landscape, sizing and HANA database guidance. Own the custom-code strategy: Custom Code Migration app and ATC readiness checks, remediation approach, and clean-core compliance. Govern the full RICEFW lifecycle (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, Workflows) through design reviews, coding standards and performance benchmarks. Architect integrations using IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, OData/REST APIs,
SAP PI/PO or Integration Suite, and SAP BTP side-by-side extensions. Guide the use of CDS views, AMDP, ABAP RAP, Fiori Elements and UI5 for current development. Lead performance tuning (SQL Monitor, code pushdown, HANA PlanViz) for high-volume environments. Mentor lead developers, manage onshore-offshore delivery, and support pre-sales and RFP responses.
Must-have skills 12+ years in SAP with 4+ years in an architect or technical lead role, and at least 2 ECC-to-S/4HANA conversions. Advanced OO-ABAP, ABAP on HANA, CDS, OData and Fiori. Working knowledge of FICO , SD, MM and PP from a technical perspective.
Positive to have: Python, BTP/CAP, ABAP Cloud, S4/HANA, BASIS/security awareness, SAP certification (ABAP or HANA 2.0 / S/4HANA technology) RAP.
