Job Title: NOC L2 Administrator
Position Overview
The NOC Administrator is responsible for the administration, configuration, optimization, and ongoing management of the SolarWinds monitoring platform. The role requires strong hands-on experience in device onboarding, discovery, polling, monitoring configuration, alerting, dashboards, reporting, and troubleshooting across enterprise Network and Infrastructure environments.
The role will work with multiple monitoring and discovery frameworks, including SNMPv1, SNMPv2c, SNMPv3, ICMP, WinRM, and WDM, to establish reliable monitoring and data collection across infrastructure devices.
What You'll Do / Key Responsibilities
• Administer and maintain the SolarWinds monitoring platform and associated modules.
• Configure and onboard Network, Server, and Infrastructure devices into SolarWinds.
• Perform SolarWinds discovery, device onboarding, polling, and monitoring configuration.
• Configure and troubleshoot SNMPv1, SNMPv2c, and SNMPv3 for network device monitoring.
• Configure ICMP-based monitoring for device availability and reachability.




• Configure and troubleshoot WinRM for Windows Server monitoring and data collection.
• Work with WDM frameworks for infrastructure discovery, monitoring, and data collection as applicable to the monitoring workplace.
• Configure nodes, interfaces, volumes, applications, dependencies, and monitoring templates.
• Configure appropriate polling methods and monitoring parameters based on device type and technology.
• Create and maintain alerts, thresholds, notification rules, and escalation workflows.
• Develop custom alerts based on availability, performance, capacity, utilization, and operational requirements.
• Configure and maintain SolarWinds dashboards, views, widgets, and operational reports.
• Configure and administer SolarWinds NPM, SAM, NCM, and other applicable SolarWinds modules.
• Configure Network Performance Monitoring for availability, latency, packet loss, bandwidth, error
