JOB DESCRIPTION- Backend Engineer

Experience- 3 – 5 yrs
Location - Chennai, Bangalore, Delhi, Remote

Responsibilities
· Work with development teams and product managers to ideate and develop backend solutions.
· Design and maintain scalable server-side architecture.
· Develop and maintain RESTful APIs using Node.js and Express.js.
· Integrate databases and ensure effective data flow between systems.
· Write efficient, reusable, and secure backend code following best practices.
· Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade backend systems and APIs.
· Optimize application performance, including database query optimization and caching.
· Ensure proper security and data protection measures are in place.
· Create and maintain technical documentation for backend services.
· Collaborate with frontend developers, DevOps, and QA teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.

Requirements and Skills
· Proven experience as a Backend Developer.
· 3+ years of hands-on experience with Node.js and Express.js.
· Strong working knowledge of MongoDB and SQL databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL).




· Experience in designing and developing RESTful APIs.
· Familiarity with asynchronous programming, middleware, and error handling.
· Good understanding of authentication mechanisms (JWT, OAuth2) and security best practices.
· Exposure to cloud platforms like AWS or Azure for deployment and storage (S3).
· Experience with Git, Postman, and version control practices.
· Knowledge of Python for automation or backend scripting is an added advantage.
· Strong debugging, problem-solving, and performance optimization skills.
· Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
· Strong organizational and analytical mindset.
· Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Good to Have
· Experience with Docker or containerized deployments.
· Familiarity with Redis, message queues, or microservices architecture.
· Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.
