It is supported by the Government of India, Government of Gujarat, and industry partners including Gujarat Energy Research and Management Institute, Gujarat State Fertilizers and Chemicals, and Tata Consultancy Services. The institute is currently operating from its temporary premises at Government Engineering College, Gandhinagar, while its permanent campus is being developed in Vadodara, Gujarat. IIIT-V focuses on addressing the evolving needs of the IT sector through high-quality education and strong research programs, guided by a Governing Council with members from academia, industry, and government. Role Description The Assistant Training & Placement Officer – T&P; Cell is a full-time, in office role based in Gandhinagar. The role involves coordinating campus placement activities, including liaising with recruiters, organizing pre-placement talks, managing interviews, and supporting internship and job offer processes. The individual will assist in designing and delivering training programs to enhance learners’ employability, including soft skills, interview preparation, and career readiness workshops. Day-to-day responsibilities include maintaining placement records, preparing reports and communication materials, supporting employer outreach, and facilitating ongoing engagement between the institute and industry partners. The role also includes collaborating with faculty, administration, and student representatives to align placement and training activities with academic priorities and institutional goals.
