About the role
FoxScan (UrbanRoof) is building a handheld building-inspection instrument with thermal and visible cameras and a laser rangefinder. We are hiring an Embedded Hardware & Mechatronics Engineer to take the next hardware revision from prototype to a manufacturable product, working directly with our product team in Baner, Pune.

Responsibilities
Design schematics and multilayer PCBs (power, sensor interfaces, connectors) and take them through fabrication, assembly and bring-up.
Write and debug embedded firmware (STM32/ESP32, C/C++) over I2C, SPI, UART and USB.
Model and prototype enclosures and mechanisms in CAD (SolidWorks or similar) and 3D print them for fit and function testing.
Bench-test and debug hardware, find root causes, and document each revision.
Integrate camera,



thermal and laser-ranging modules and work with robotics or ROS tooling where useful.

Qualifications
1.5+ years of hands-on experience building electronic or mechatronic hardware.
PCB design in KiCad, Altium or Eagle, with at least one board you designed yourself.
Mechanical CAD skills and 3D printing for custom enclosures.
Comfortable with oscilloscope, multimeter and logic analyser.
Bonus: robotics/ROS, embedded Linux, power electronics, product prototyping.
Not a fit: purely PLC/HMI industrial automation or solar/battery-only backgrounds.

Location: In office, Baner, Pune. Candidates from other cities willing to relocate are welcome. Immediate joiners preferred.
