Position: Purchase Manager

Experience: 8–12 Years
Qualification: B.E./B.Tech – Mechanical / Production (Preferred)

Responsibilities• Develop and implement effective purchase strategies and procurement plans for the institution.
• Manage procurement of laboratory equipment, engineering components, IT equipment, electrical items, furniture, stationery, consumables and general requirements.
• Identify, evaluate and maintain a reliable vendor/supplier network.
• Obtain and compare quotations, negotiate price, quality, delivery and payment terms.
• Prepare comparative statements, purchase orders, work orders and procurement documentation.
• Ensure purchases are made in accordance with approved budgets, institutional policies and procurement procedures.
• Coordinate with Departments, Stores, Finance, Administration and Management for timely procurement.
• Monitor purchase orders, delivery schedules, quality and vendor performance.
• Ensure proper documentation,



approvals and audit compliance for all purchases.
• Handle AMC, service contracts, annual rate contracts and institutional agreements.
• Develop cost-saving initiatives and ensure best value for money.
• Resolve vendor-related issues concerning quality, delivery, billing and service.
• Maintain accurate purchase records, vendor database, contracts and procurement reports.
• Support procurement requirements related to AICTE, Anna University, NBA, NAAC, NIRF and other statutory/accreditation requirements.
• Lead and guide the Purchase/Procurement team and ensure timely completion of procurement activities.
• Prepare periodic MIS reports on procurement, expenditure, pending orders and vendor performance.
