We are looking for a hands-on Platform Engineer with a robust background in the C# .NET ecosystem to take ownership of application build automation, containerization, and Azure CI/CD pipelines. In this role, you will bridge the gap between software development and automated cloud delivery—enabling our engineering teams by streamlining everything from local builds to production releases.
Unlike traditional infrastructure-only or cloud-support DevOps positions, this is a code-literate platform engineering role. While you won’t be writing user-facing product features, you will work directly with our application source code—cloning repositories, resolving .NET and Node.js build configurations and dependencies, building services from the CLI, authoring optimized multi-stage Docker containers, setting up local multi-service environments with docker-compose, and automating end-to-end CI/CD delivery targeting Microsoft Azure.
Responsibilities:
1. Build Engineering & Service Integration:
Take full ownership of application source code across C# .NET and Node.js microservices. Resolve project dependencies, troubleshoot build failures, and execute CLI-based builds and packaging (dotnet build, npm run build).
2. Local Environment & Container Strategy: Lead service containerization using Docker (authoring optimized multi-stage Dockerfiles) and maintain docker-compose setups for developers to run multi-tier services and databases locally.
3. CI/CD Orchestration: Own Azure DevOps YAML pipelines to automate build, testing, container scanning, and artifact deployment for C# backend services and React frontends.
4. Platform, AKS & Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Treat infrastructure like software. Build and maintain Azure environments and manage container orchestration within Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) using Terraform, Bicep, or ARM.
5. Security First (DevSecOps): Implement and enforce security best practices across the SDLC—including static analysis (SAST), con
