Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Fire Fighting Works professional with 8+ years of relevant experience in commercial construction projects. The candidate will be responsible for planning, execution, supervision, testing, commissioning and handover of fire-fighting systems while ensuring compliance with approved drawings, project specifications and applicable fire safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan, supervise and execute complete fire-fighting works for commercial building projects.
- Coordinate installation of fire hydrant, sprinkler, fire pumps and pump room, fire hose reel, wet riser/downcomer, fire
- water tanks and fire extinguishers.
- Review and coordinate approved shop drawings, design drawings and technical specifications.
- Monitor contractors and subcontractors to ensure work follows approved drawings and project schedules.
- Coordinate with PMC, consultants, architects, MEP consultants and other project teams.
- Check material specifications, quantities and quality of materials delivered to site.
- Conduct inspections and ensure proper installation, testing and commissioning of fire-fighting systems.
- Monitor pressure testing, hydro testing, flushing and commissioning activities.
- Prepare inspection requests, checklists, test reports and site documentation.
- Identify technical discrepancies and coordination clashes and resolve them with concerned teams.
- Monitor project progress and ensure timely completion of fire-fighting works.
- Verify contractor measurements, quantities and work completion.
- Assist in BOQ, material requirements and work schedules.
- Ensure compliance with NBC, local fire department requirements and relevant fire safety standards.




- Coordinate inspections and approvals from relevant authorities/fire department wherever required.
- Prepare and review as-built drawings, testing & commissioning documents and handover documents.
- Ensure adherence to project quality, safety and EHS requirements.

Required Technical Skills

- Strong knowledge of commercial building fire-fighting systems.
- Good understanding of fire hydrant, sprinkler, wet riser, pump room and fire water systems.
- Knowledge of fire pump installation and testing.
- Ability to read and interpret MEP/fire-fighting drawings.
- Knowledge of site execution, testing and commissioning.
- Understanding of BOQ, quantity verification and contractor billing.
- Knowledge of relevant fire safety codes and statutory requirements.
- Strong coordination skills with consultants, PMC, contractors and project teams.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Office will be an advantage.

Qualification

- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical / Civil / Electrical Engineering or relevant technical qualification.
- Minimum 8+ years of relevant experience in fire-fighting works.
- Experience in commercial buildings, malls, IT parks, high-rise buildings or large-scale construction projects will be preferred.
