Responsibilities
- Write and maintain firmware for ESP32 and STM32 based products in C/C++.
- Bring up custom PCBs: peripherals, power rails, motor drivers and displays.
- Integrate 4G LTE (Quectel) and MQTT telemetry against our own cloud.
- Design for the field - watchdogs, OTA updates, brown-out and recovery paths.
- Work with the hardware team on schematic and layout review before fabrication.
- Debug returned units and turn field failures into regression tests.
Requirements Qualifications
- Solid C or C++ on resource-constrained microcontrollers.
- Hands-on bring-up experience with I2C, SPI, UART and ADC peripherals.
- Comfortable with an oscilloscope and a logic analyser, not just a debugger.
- Familiarity with FreeRTOS or a comparable RTOS.
- Git, and the discipline to write firmware someone else can maintain.
- Bonus: OTA update design, battery management, or motor control experience.
