Key Responsibility
1. Solar PV System Design :
Design grid-connected solar PV systems, system sizing, component selection, inverter configuration,voltage-
drop calculations, SLDs, equipment layouts for residential, commercial, industrial, ground-mounted projects.
2. Rooftop Solar Design :
Analyze rooftop layouts, optimize module placement, design mounting arrangements, coordinate site surveys,
and prepare detailed rooftop installation drawings considering obstructions, setbacks, access, and shadows.
3. Ground-Mounted Solar Design :
Prepare ground-mounted solar layouts, optimize spacing and orientation, coordinate civil/electrical teams, and
develop foundation and mounting structure drawings.

Must Have Skills
* Good understanding of solar PV system components and electrical design.
* Hands-on experience in AutoCAD is mandatory.
* Good knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word, and PowerPoint.
* Knowledge of rooftop and ground-mounted solar PV design.
* Knowledge of SLD preparation and basic electrical calculations.
* Understanding of module, inverter, cable, earthing, lightning protection, and protection system selection.
* Ability to interpret architectural, structural, and electrical drawings.
* Good understanding of solar site survey data and its application in design.
Good To Have Skills
* Working experience in Arka360 (Solar Labs) is preferred/required.
* Working knowledge of Google SketchUp.
* Knowledge of PVsyst is an added advantage.
* Knowledge of solar mounting structures.
* Knowledge of MNRE / CEA / DISCOM requirements and applicable electrical standards.
* Experience in designing C&I; rooftop solar projects.
* Experience with net metering / net feed-in projects.
* Knowledge of basic solar energy yield calculations.
* Familiarity with preparation of technical BOQ/BOM.
