Product Designer UX & Visual Design

4+ years of experience

Full-time • Hyderabad

Work Mode: Work from Office

Notice: Immediate to 30days

About the role RedTee turns lessons into narrated learning videos and delivers them through an adaptive learning product. This role owns how the whole thing feels to use every screen, every flow, every moment where a human decides whether to keep going or drop off. This is a UX-led role first, visual design second. The hard problem is not making things look good; it is making a multi-actor product feel effortless. Managers brief the AI. Subject matter experts get interviewed by it. Reviewers approve outputs. Learners watch the results. Each of these users has a different job, a different tolerance for friction, and a different reason to abandon the product. Your job is to make sure none of them do. You will design the product in Figma. You will also set the visual direction for the AI-generated video templates and hero visuals, but the code and rendering are handled by our engineering pipeline and Claude-powered tooling. You design the direction; the pipeline produces it.

What you'll actually work on

The hard UX work (most of your time)

Multi-actor product flows the creator briefs the AI, the SME gets interviewed, the reviewer approves, the learner consumes. Each handoff has to feel like a single system, not four disconnected tools.

Conversational UI a big part of the product is a chat interface that talks to users and materialises a plan or a course beside the conversation. Designing this well (when to ask, when to show, when to let the user click vs type) is a genuine design problem, not a template.

Adoption-first design our users are busy managers and reluctant SMEs. If the interview takes more than 20 minutes or feels like a form, they will not come back. Your work has to make the product feel lighter than the current alternatives (typing a doc, recording a video).

Async workflows without dead-ends reviews, renders, and freshness alerts happen out of band.

The product has to make waiting feel productive and resumption feel obvious.

Trust and provenance surfaces showing where a claim came from, what is locked, what is stale, and who approved what, in a way that reads as competent rather than bureaucratic.

Progressive disclosure one decision per screen, defaults that remember, tuning behind a control. The product should feel like a producer helping a manager, not a settings panel.

Product UI and design system

End-to-end flows and prototypes in Figma wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, interactive prototypes, and clean specs ready for handoff.

The design system components, typography, tokens, spacing, states kept small, coherent, and actually used.

The learner-facing product video player, captions, chapters, progress, checks, and the surrounding home / assignments / notifications experience.

Visual direction for AI-generated content

Set the visual language for the video templates layout, hierarchy, colour, motion feel so the generation pipeline produces polished, on-brand output.

Review generated output and iterate the template designs so machine-made content feels handcrafted.

Design the high-stakes hero visuals and demo assets that win pilot customers.

Who we're looking for

4+ years in product design or UI/UX, with a portfolio of shipped digital products not just mockups.

Strong on user research thinking and flow design. You can walk through a complex multi-user product and explain why every friction point is or isn't there.

Fluent in Figma end-to-end flows, components, auto-layout, interactive prototypes, and modern design-system practice.

Robust visual design sense typography, layout, hierarchy,

colour, and a feel for motion. Comfortable designing beyond app screens: content templates, hero visuals, brand surfaces.

A clear communicator who hands off clean specs and collaborates with engineering, pedagogy, and product.

Comfortable setting design direction that other people or an AI pipeline execute, and iterating from rendered results.

Good to have

Experience designing multi-user or multi-role SaaS products (e.g. anything with reviewers, admins, and end users all in the same system). Experience designing conversational or AI-first interfaces.

Experience with educational, explainer, or media/video products.

Motion design chops (After Effects, Rive, Framer motion) helpful but not required.

Some ability to prototype through code or scripting (SVG, CSS, React, Manim) — a plus, not expected. Design tokens / theming at scale.

Not a fit

Pure graphic designers or brand designers without shipped product work.

Visual designers who hand off pretty screens without thinking through flows, states, and edge cases.

UX designers with no visual craft — you need both here.

Portfolios that are all case studies and no shipped, live products. Why join

Own the entire look, feel, and flow of a product from a blank canvas.

Shape both the app UI and the visual language of an AI-generated content library — a rare combination.

A design-led role where your direction is amplified by a pipeline that produces what you design, so you spend your time on craft and UX, not production grind.

Your flows and hero visuals are what win the first pilot customers. Direct visibility, direct impact.

How to apply Please include:

Resume

Portfolio link — must include at least one shipped product (live URL or app store link), not only case studies

A short note (5–10 lines) on a product flow you designed where you had to balance multiple user types with different goals. What was the hardest trade-off, and how did you resolve it
