We are hiring Pre-cast Inspector - Civil for steel Manufacturing Plant for Gadchiroli , Maharashtra location. The Precast Inspector Civil will represent the Project Management Consultant at precast yards and project sites, ensuring that precast reinforced-concrete elements for the steel manufacturing plant are produced, transported, stored, erected, jointed, and accepted in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, inspection and test plans, quality procedures, relevant standards, and contractual requirements.

Role & responsibilities

- Act as the PMC inspection representative for precast production yards, storage areas, transport operations, and erection work fronts.
- Review approved drawings, shop drawings, bar bending schedules, method statements, mix designs, ITPs, checklists, lifting schemes, repair procedures, and vendor quality plans before production.
- Verify approval, identification, storage, testing, and traceability of cement, aggregates, water, admixtures, reinforcement steel, inserts, embedded plates, lifting anchors, grout, bearings, and jointing materials.
- Conduct pre-pour inspections covering mould condition, dimensions, line and level, release agent, reinforcement size and spacing, cover blocks, chairs, couplers, inserts, sleeves, openings, embedments, lifting points, identification marks, and cleanliness.
- Witness batching, mixing, transportation, placement, compaction, finishing, and curing; verify slump or flow, concrete temperature, cube sampling, density or other specified fresh-concrete tests.
- Confirm required stripping, lifting, handling, dispatch, and erection strengths using approved test results before releasing elements from each hold point.
- Perform post-pour and final inspections for dimensions, tolerances, line, level,



squareness, camber, surface finish, cracks, honeycombing, exposed reinforcement, damaged edges, insert position, lifting points, and identification or traceability marks.
- Review compressive-strength results, material test certificates, calibration records, batching reports, curing logs, inspection requests, test reports, and element history cards.
- Inspect erection readiness, including foundations and pedestals, survey control, levels, anchor bolts, bearings, access, crane positioning, lifting devices, temporary bracing, and approved erection sequence.
- Verify erected-element alignment, plumbness, level, bearing, seating, joint width, connections, welding, bolting, dowels, grouting, joint sealing, stability, and interface with in-situ concrete and structural steel.
- Raise inspection observations and NCRs, review root-cause analysis and repair proposals, witness approved repairs, and verify corrective and preventive action closure.
- Coordinate with the client, design team, contractor, precast vendor, laboratory, survey, construction, safety, planning, and erection teams to resolve technical and quality issues.
- Maintain inspection registers, pour cards, photographs, test records, release notes, dispatch clearances, element tracking, NCR status, punch lists, as-built records, and quality dossiers.

Preferred candidate profile

- Hands-on inspection experience for precast columns, beams, slabs, wall panels, pipe-rack members, cable trenches, drains, sleepers, boundary-wall elements, equipment-support elements, and other industrial precast components.
- Knowledge of reinforcement, formwork, concrete technology, batching, sampling, curing, dimensional tolerances, embedded items, repair methods, grouting, erection, and joint treatment.
