We are hiring a hands-on Senior UX Researcher to build our UX research strategy and personally carry out discovery and evaluative research for a digital membership revamp across news, health, video, culture, games and newsletters. This role focuses on understanding why people subscribe, stay and leave, and turning that evidence into better product and marketing decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain a UX research strategy and prioritized roadmap
- Plan and conduct customer interviews, JTBD switch interviews, observation and surveys
- Research current, active, lapsed and former subscribers, and prospective readers
- Conduct competitor analysis and market research with the Marketing team
- Research acquisition, engagement, retention and churn journeys
- Produce customer profiles, JTBD findings, journey maps and Value Proposition Canvases
- Connect qualitative findings with usage and subscription data alongside Analytics
- Run moderated and unmoderated usability tests on concepts, prototypes and live products
- Document experiments using Strategyzer Test Cards and Learning Cards
- Set up a research repository, intake process and recruitment guidelines
- Coach junior PMs and designers in practical research skills
Who Can Apply
- 4+ years of UX research experience on consumer-facing digital products
- Experience building and executing a UX research strategy
- Hands-on experience with interviews, surveys and usability testing
- Experience with competitor analysis and market research
- Excellent spoken and written English, with experience interviewing US customers
- Portfolio or case studies showing your personal contribution
- Availability to work during US hours
