Jerico Technologies is seeking a versatile Senior PLC, SCADA & OT Cybersecurity Engineer to join our global engineering team. This dual-focus role is responsible for designing, programming, and commissioning PLC/SCADA industrial automation systems while engineering, securing, and defending the Operational Technology (OT) networks powering critical infrastructure across water, energy, and data centre facilities.

Key Responsibilities

- PLC & SCADA System Engineering: Design, program, and configure PLC/SCADA systems using industry-standard languages (Ladder Logic, Structured Text, FBD) across platforms such as Rockwell Automation, Siemens, and Aveva/Wonderware.
- OT Network Architecture & Segmentation: Design and enforce secure network boundaries using the Purdue Model, isolating critical facility automation (BMS, PMCS, SCADA) from corporate IT environments.
- System Integration & Commissioning: Integrate PLCs, HMIs, RTUs, and field devices. Conduct thorough testing (FAT/SAT) and manage system commissioning both remotely and on-site as required.
- Vulnerability & Threat Management: Perform OT cyber risk assessments, vulnerability management, and continuous network traffic monitoring on live infrastructure (UPS, generators, chillers, control loops) without disrupting continuous operations.
- Compliance & Framework Alignment: Ensure control system architectures strictly comply with international security standards, specifically IEC 62443, NIST SP 800-82, and ISO 27001.
- Incident Response & Vendor Audits: Develop OT-specific incident playbooks, lead technical remediation during security events, and audit security practices for third-party vendors and contractors with remote access.
- Troubleshooting & Technical Documentation: Provide high-level technical support, diagnostic troubleshooting, and maintain comprehensive system schematics, network diagrams, and user documentation.

Qualifications & Skills

- Education: Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Cyber Security, Computer Science, or equivalent field.
- Core Automation Experience: Hands-on experience with major PLC/SCADA hardware and software (Siemens S7/TIA Portal, Allen-Bradley/ControlLogix, Wonderware InTouch, Aveva System Platform).
- OT Security Expertise: 3+ years specializing in OT/industrial cybersecurity, Purdue Model network design, industrial firewalls (Fortinet, Palo Alto, Cisco), ACLs,



and secure remote access gateways.
- Industrial Protocols: Deep knowledge of building and industrial communication protocols, including Modbus (TCP/RTU), BACnet (IP/MSTP), OPC-UA, Profibus/Profinet, SNMP, and DNP3.
- Certifications (Preferred): GICSP, ISA/IEC 62443 Specialist/Expert, CISSP, or CDCP certifications are a distinct advantage.
- Workplace Capabilities: Self-directed mindset suited for remote engineering environments, with strong analytical problem-solving and English communication skills.
