We are looking for a motivated Embedded Systems Engineering Intern to join our Engineering/R&D; team. The intern will get hands-on exposure to embedded hardware and firmware development, microcontrollers, sensors, communication interfaces, motor control, and testing of electromechanical systems.
The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in electronics and embedded systems, basic programming knowledge, and a keen interest in robotics, automation, and real-world product development.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in developing and testing embedded systems based on microcontrollers.
- Write and modify basic C/C++ firmware for embedded platforms.
- Assist with interfacing sensors, actuators, motors, encoders, and other electronic components.
- Support development and testing of electronic circuits and PCB-based systems.
- Assist in implementing basic motor-control and feedback systems.
- Work with communication interfaces and protocols such as UART, I2C, SPI, CAN, or RS-485.
- Assist with hardware bring-up, testing, troubleshooting, and debugging.
- Use laboratory equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers under supervision.
- Support integration of embedded electronics with mechanical and software systems.
- Assist in identifying and resolving hardware/firmware issues during testing.
- Maintain technical documentation, circuit diagrams, test results,
and code using appropriate version-control practices.
These responsibilities are adapted from the original role's focus on embedded firmware, hardware-software interfaces, sensor integration, diagnostics, and multidisciplinary electromechanical systems.
Education
- Pursuing or recently completed B.Tech/B.E. in Electronics & Communication, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, Embedded Systems, or a related field.
- Candidates with relevant academic projects in embedded systems, robotics, automation, or electronics will be preferred.
Technical Skills
- C/C++ programming basic to intermediate knowledge.
- Microcontrollers Arduino, STM32, ESP32, PIC, ARM, or similar.
- Basic understanding of embedded systems and firmware development.
- Basic knowledge of electronics, circuits, sensors, and actuators.
- Familiarity with UART, I2C, SPI, CAN, or other communication protocols.
- Basic understanding of motor control and feedback systems is an advantage.
- Basic PCB/schematic knowledge using tools such as KiCad, Altium, Eagle, or similar.
- Familiarity with oscilloscope, multimeter, or logic analyzer is an advantage.
- Basic knowledge of Git/version control.
- Good analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Solid interest in robotics, automation, and embedded product development.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
