UI/UX Designer - D2C Brands

About the Role
Nolox is looking for a UI/UX Designer who understands how people shop online and knows how to turn a D2C brand into a compelling digital experience.
We’re looking for someone with a solid understanding of D2C customer behaviour, ecommerce UX, product discovery, conversion, and visual storytelling .
You’ll design premium ecommerce experiences for brands across categories such as fashion, beauty, wellness, food, lifestyle, and consumer products.
You’ll work closely with our Creative Directors, Brand Designers, and Developers to create digital experiences that feel beautiful, intuitive, on-brand, and commercially effective .
What You’ll Do
- Design premium ecommerce experiences for D2C brands
- Design homepages, landing pages, collection pages, product pages, cart experiences, and other key customer touchpoints
- Translate brand identities into strong digital experiences
- Create user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI designs
- Design responsive experiences across desktop and mobile
- Think about the complete customer journey from first impression → product discovery → consideration → purchase
- Design product pages that communicate value, build trust, and help customers make purchase decisions
- Create intuitive navigation, filtering, search, and product discovery experiences
- Think about reviews, social proof, product information, offers, guarantees, and other trust-building elements
- Design landing pages for marketing campaigns and paid traffic
- Balance brand storytelling with usability and conversion
- Create scalable design systems and reusable components in Figma
- Explore multiple creative directions before refining the strongest solution
- Collaborate with developers to ensure the final experience matches the intended design
- Participate in creative reviews, brainstorming, and client presentations
What We’re Looking For
- 2–5 years of professional experience in UI/UX or Digital Design
- Strong portfolio demonstrating D2C, ecommerce, or consumer brand work
- Strong understanding of how customers behave when shopping online
- Excellent UI design and visual craftsmanship
- Strong understanding of typography, spacing, composition, grids, hierarchy, and colour
- Strong understanding of responsive web design
- Good understanding of UX, information architecture, navigation, and user flows
- Experience creating scalable design systems and reusable components
- Ability to balance brand, customer needs, and business goals
- Understanding of ecommerce conversion principles and customer psychology
- Strong attention to detail and high standards for visual quality
- Ability to clearly explain the thinking behind your design decisions
- Strong written and spoken English communication
- Comfortable working during Indian business hours
You Should Understand D2C We’re looking for someone who naturally thinks about the customer behind every screen .
You should understand questions like:
- How does a customer understand the brand within the first few seconds?
- How do we make someone trust a product they've never purchased before?
- What information does a customer need before making a decision?
- How should products be presented to make comparison easier?
- Where could a customer lose interest or abandon their journey?
- How can design reduce friction during the buying process?
- How should reviews, social proof, offers, and product benefits be presented?
- How do we create a strong experience for someone arriving from an Instagram or Meta ad?
- How should the experience change between mobile and desktop?
- How do we balance beautiful brand expression with a clear path to purchase?
You don’t need to be a CRO specialist. But you should understand that D2C design has both a creative and commercial responsibility.
Shopify Experience
You do not need to be a Shopify developer .
However, you should have a good understanding of how Shopify ecommerce experiences are structured from a design and customer experience perspective .
You should be familiar with concepts such as:
- Product and collection pages
- Product variants
- Product discovery and filtering
- Cart and checkout journeys
- Reviews and social proof
- Upsells and cross-sells
- Subscription products
- Promotional campaigns
- Mobile ecommerce UX
Your responsibility is to design the experience , not build the Shopify store.
Tools
- Figma — Required
- Adobe Photoshop
- Adobe Illustrator
Bonus Skills These aren't required, but are a plus:
- Experience designing D2C or ecommerce brands
- Experience with Shopify storefront design
- CRO knowledge
- Understanding of ecommerce analytics
- Framer or Webflow
- Prototyping and micro-interactions
- Motion design
- Basic HTML/CSS understanding
- Experience working with international D2C brands
- AI tools for design workflows
