Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled VMC Operator who will be responsible for setting up and operating Vertical Machining Centers (VMC) to produce precision components as per engineering drawings. The role requires robust technical knowledge of VMC machining, tooling, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate VMC machines for production runs.
- Select appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and offsets.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T;, and process sheets.
- Perform dry runs and trial machining to ensure accuracy.
- Monitor machine operations and make necessary adjustments.
- Inspect finished components using measuring instruments (vernier, micrometer, bore gauge, height gauge, etc.).
- Maintain production records and ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Carry out routine machine maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Ensure safety, cleanliness,
and 5S compliance in the work area.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of VMC operation.
- Experience with FANUC / Siemens / Haas / Mitsubishi controllers (preferred).
- Understanding of machining processes, tooling, and materials.
- Ability to achieve tight tolerances and high surface finish.
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Attention to detail and quality orientation.
Qualifications
- ITI / Diploma / BE in Mechanical Engineering or relevant trade.
Experience
- 2–3 years of hands-on experience as a VMC Operator
Preferred Attributes
- Experience in batch and job work production.
- Knowledge of ISO standards and quality control procedures.
Pay: ₹8,600.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
