Videographer & Video Editor

Mumbai | Retainer Basis | 1–3 Years Experience

Dot and Grid is looking for a Mumbai-based Videographer & Video Editor to work with us on an ongoing retainer across client projects.

We’re looking for someone who is comfortable both behind the camera and at the edit table. The work will range from quick, social-first content to longer-form videos, with room to experiment with newer formats and AI video tools.

What you'll work on

- Shoot video content for social media, campaigns, brands and other client requirements
- Travel to client locations in Mumbai approximately 1–2 times a week when shoots are required
- Edit short-form content including Reels, social videos, interviews, BTS and campaign content
- Edit longer-form videos where required
- Turn raw footage into engaging edits with a good understanding of pacing, storytelling, music and transitions
- Repurpose existing footage into multiple pieces of content
- Work closely with our strategists and designers to translate concepts into video
- Experiment with AI video generation and emerging tools, including platforms such as Higgsfield
- Explore new visual treatments, editing styles and content formats rather than relying only on templates
- Manage footage, exports and project files in an organised manner

We're looking for someone who
- Has 1–3 years of experience in videography, video editing or content production
- Is based in Mumbai and comfortable travelling locally for shoots
- Has a robust eye for composition, framing and visual storytelling
- Understands what makes short-form social content hold attention
- Is equally comfortable working on longer, more considered edits
- Is proficient with relevant video editing software
- Is curious about AI-led video creation and comfortable experimenting with new tools
- Can work independently from a brief while also taking creative feedback
- Is reliable with timelines and comfortable working across multiple brands and visual styles

Engagement This is an ongoing retainer-based role , rather than a full-time position. The workload will vary depending on our active client requirements, with shoots generally planned in advance.
