Role Overview

We are looking for a Video Editor Team Lead with 4–6 years of experience in social media or a creative agency. The role involves leading the video editing team while being hands-on with Reels, short-form content, brand campaigns, and social media videos. The ideal candidate should have a strong creative eye, understand current social media trends, and ensure high-quality and timely content delivery.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and manage the day-to-day work of the video editing team.
- Assign editing tasks, manage priorities, and ensure timely delivery of content.
- Review and maintain the quality of all video content before final delivery.
- Edit engaging Instagram Reels, short-form videos, social media content, campaign videos, event videos, and branded content.
- Understand creative briefs and convert concepts into engaging visual stories.
- Work closely with the Social Media, Creative, Design, Photography, and Account teams to execute content as per brand requirements.
- Develop creative editing styles based on the identity,



audience, and objectives of different brands.
- Stay updated with current Instagram, Reels, YouTube Shorts, transitions, editing styles, audio trends, formats, and content trends.
- Bring fresh editing ideas and creative approaches to improve the quality of social media content.
- Guide junior editors and interns on editing techniques, workflow, quality standards, and creative execution.
- Conduct regular quality checks and provide constructive feedback to the editing team.
- Ensure all projects are completed within timelines without compromising on quality.
- Manage multiple brands and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced agency environment.
- Coordinate with the production/shoot team to understand footage requirements and ensure content is edited effectively from available footage.
- Maintain proper file organisation, project files, raw footage, exports, and editing assets.
- Handle revisions and incorporate feedback from internal teams and clients efficiently.
- Contribute to creative brainstorming and content ideation for upcoming campaigns, shoots, events, and social media calendars.
- Experiment with recent editing techniques, motion graphics, visual effects,



and storytelling formats relevant to social media.
- Take ownership of the overall visual quality and consistency of video content produced by the team.

Requirements

- 4–6 years of professional experience in video editing, preferably within a social media, digital marketing, advertising, creative agency, or production environment.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating social media, Reels, short-form, branded, and campaign content.
- Excellent understanding of Instagram and other short-form video platforms.
- Strong command of Adobe Premiere Pro.
- Working knowledge of After Effects is preferred.
- Knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, or other creative tools will be an added advantage.
- Strong understanding of pacing, cuts, transitions, sound design, colour correction, typography, and visual storytelling.
- Ability to understand brand guidelines and maintain consistency across different types of content.
- Strong creative eye with attention to detail.
- Ability to manage and mentor a team of video editors.
- Robust organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to handle multiple projects and tight deadlines.
- Good communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to take feedback positively and implement revisions efficiently.
- Experience working with F&B;, hospitality, lifestyle, nightlife, entertainment, events, or consumer brands will be preferred.

A robust portfolio is mandatory.
