Role Description The User Interface Engineer is a full-time remote role responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing user interfaces for web and/or mobile applications. This role involves collaborating closely with product managers, UX designers, and backend engineers to translate wireframes and requirements into responsive, accessible, and visually consistent interfaces.

Day-to-day tasks include building reusable UI components, integrating APIs, refining interaction patterns, and ensuring cross-browser and cross-device compatibility.

The User Interface

Engineer will participate in code reviews, maintain UI-related documentation,



and contribute to design system and component library improvements. The role also includes monitoring UI performance, troubleshooting issues, and continuously enhancing the overall user experience based on feedback and analytics.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong front-end engineering skills, including proficiency in HTML, CSS, and up-to-date JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Vue, or Angular).
- Candidates should possess user interface and experience design skills, such as working with design systems, responsive layouts, accessibility standards (WCAG), and interaction design best practices.
- Candidates should possess skills in integrating UI with backend services and APIs, including RESTful or GraphQL endpoints and JSON data handling.
- Candidates should possess testing and quality-focused skills, including experience with UI testing tools, debugging, performance optimization, and cross-browser/device validation.
- Candidates should possess collaboration and communication skills, enabling effective work with product, design, and engineering teams in a remote environment.
- Beneficial qualifications include experience with version control (Git), agile development practices, design tools (such as Figma or Sketch), and prior work in technology consulting or multi-client environments.
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is preferred.
