Role Overview

We are seeking a compassionate, empathetic, and student-focused Well-being Counsellor to support the emotional, social, and psychological well-being of students in the Senior School. The counsellor will work closely with students, parents, teachers, and the school leadership team to create a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment that promotes mental health, self-awareness, resilience, and overall well-being.

The role requires a strong understanding of adolescent development, counselling practices, and the ability to provide guidance and support while maintaining confidentiality and qualified boundaries.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide individual and group counselling sessions to students addressing academic, emotional, social, and personal concerns.
- Support students in developing self-awareness, emotional regulation, resilience, and positive coping strategies.
- Create and implement well-being initiatives, workshops, and awareness programs for students, parents, and staff.
- Identify students requiring additional support and collaborate with relevant stakeholders for timely intervention.
- Maintain confidential counselling records and documentation in accordance with school policies.
- Collaborate with teachers, coordinators, and leadership teams to support student well-being and holistic development.
- Support students through academic stress, transitions, peer relationships, and personal challenges.
- Conduct sessions related to mental health awareness, mindfulness,



life skills, and social-emotional learning.
- Communicate professionally with parents and caregivers while maintaining confidentiality and sensitivity.
- Participate in school events, professional development sessions, and student support initiatives.
- Uphold the school s values and contribute to building a positive and inclusive school culture.

Preferred Qualifications

- Master s degree in Counselling Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Educational Psychology, or a related field.
- Relevant certification/training in counselling or student well-being support (preferred).
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience working as a counsellor, preferably in a school or educational setting.
- Strong understanding of adolescent psychology, mental health, and social-emotional learning.
- Excellent listening, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, demonstrate empathy, and handle sensitive situations professionally.
- Strong collaboration skills with students, parents, teachers, and school leadership.
- Commitment to reflective practice and continuous professional growth.

Work Timings

Monday to Saturday | 7:40 AM - 3:45 PM
