Key Responsibilities

1. Quality Management

- Develop, implement and monitor quality standards across all production stages.
- Establish explicit quality checkpoints from incoming fabric/material inspection through cutting, stitching, finishing, packing and final inspection.
- Monitor quality performance and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Reduce defects, rework, rejection and customer complaints through systematic root-cause analysis.
- Conduct regular quality reviews and report key quality performance indicators to management.

2. Production Quality Control

- Ensure effective in-line and end-line inspection systems.
- Monitor critical quality parameters including measurements, stitching, workmanship, shade, construction, finishing and packing.
- Ensure quality standards are clearly communicated to production teams.
- Work closely with Production, Cutting, Fabric, Finishing and Packing teams to resolve quality issues.
- Ensure first-piece/sample approval before proceeding with bulk production.

3. Buyer & Export Quality Requirements

- Understand and implement individual buyer quality manuals, specifications and inspection requirements.
- Coordinate buyer inspections and third-party inspections.
- Ensure production is aligned with approved samples, specifications, artwork, packaging and quality standards.
- Analyse buyer inspection reports and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain records of buyer complaints and ensure timely closure.

4. Fabric & Raw Material Quality

- Establish fabric inspection standards and procedures.
- Ensure incoming fabrics and accessories are inspected before production.
- Monitor fabric defects, shade variation, GSM, width,



shrinkage and other relevant parameters.
- Coordinate with Fabric, Purchase and Production teams to prevent quality issues from entering production.

5. Team Management

- Lead and develop the QA/QC team.
- Define responsibilities and inspection procedures for QAs, QCs and inspectors.
- Train quality teams on inspection standards, workmanship and buyer requirements.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and identify training requirements.
- Ensure adequate quality manpower is available based on production volume.

6. Quality Systems & Documentation

- Develop and maintain SOPs, inspection formats, quality standards and checklists.
- Establish a proper quality documentation and traceability system.
- Maintain quality reports, inspection records, defect analysis and corrective action reports.
- Support implementation and continuous improvement of the company's Quality Management System.
- Prepare the organisation for relevant quality and compliance audits.

7. Root Cause & Continuous Improvement

- Conduct structured root-cause analysis for recurring quality problems.
- Implement CAPA and monitor effectiveness.
- Identify process improvements to reduce defects and improve productivity.
- Work with Production and IE teams to identify process-related quality losses.




- Establish measurable quality targets for each department.

8. Final Inspection & Shipment

- Ensure final inspection is conducted according to buyer requirements and approved standards.
- Review inspection results before shipment clearance.
- Ensure all quality issues are resolved before goods are packed and dispatched.
- Coordinate with Merchandising and Production teams for shipment readiness.

Candidate Profile

- 5-10+ years of experience in Quality Assurance/Quality Control, preferably in home textiles or textile exports.
- Strong knowledge of home textile manufacturing processes.
- Good understanding of AQL, inspection procedures and buyer quality requirements.
- Experience handling buyer and third-party inspections.
- Strong knowledge of fabric, stitching, finishing and packing quality.
- Experience in managing QA/QC teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work closely with Production, Merchandising, IE and Management teams.
- Strong knowledge of Excel and quality reporting systems.

Preferred Experience Experience working with international home textile buyers and understanding their quality standards, inspection procedures and compliance expectations will be an advantage.
