Job Purpose

We are looking for an experienced Tendering Engineer – Mechanical Utility Piping to prepare accurate and competitive techno-commercial bids for industrial utility piping projects.

The role involves tender review, cost estimation, material take-offs, vendor and OEM coordination, technical-commercial evaluation, risk assessment, value engineering, and timely bid submission.

Key Responsibilities

- Review tender documents, BOQs, specifications, drawings, and contract conditions.
- Identify project scope, exclusions, assumptions, technical requirements, and commercial risks.
- Prepare tender queries and participate in pre-bid discussions.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and Material Take-Offs (MTO).
- Estimate labour productivity, installation costs, equipment, and material costs.
- Coordinate with vendors and OEMs for techno-commercial quotations.
- Conduct technical and commercial comparison of vendor offers.
- Negotiate commercial terms to achieve target project costs.
- Prepare technical bids, commercial bids, cost sheets, BOQ compliance, clarification registers, and bid submission documents.
- Analyse market rates, bid margins, and project profitability.
- Recommend final selling prices based on project costing.
- Coordinate with Design, Purchase, Projects, Contracts, Finance, OEMs,



Clients, and Consultants.
- Identify cost-saving and value-engineering opportunities.
- Suggest alternative materials, makes, and optimized piping layouts without compromising quality.

Utility Piping Experience Candidates should have experience in estimating and tendering for systems such as:

- Process Piping

- Chilled Water Piping
- Cooling Water Piping
- DM Water Piping
- RO Water Piping
- Nitrogen Piping
- Steam & Condensate Piping
- Fuel Oil / HSD Piping

Experience Required

3–7 years of relevant experience in Tendering / Estimation for Mechanical Utility Piping projects.
