Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Tekla Modeler role based in Egmore.

The Tekla

Modeler will create and maintain detailed 3D structural steel models using Tekla Structures, ensuring accurate representation of beams, columns, connections, and assemblies. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing shop and erection drawings, coordinating with engineers and project managers, and updating models based on design changes and client feedback. The role involves reviewing design documents for completeness, identifying clashes or inconsistencies,



and collaborating with checking teams to resolve issues.

The Tekla

Modeler will also support BIM workflows, adhere to company standards, and contribute to timely, high-quality deliverables for US-based projects.

Qualifications

- Proficiency in Tekla Structures for structural steel modeling, detailing, and connection modeling.
- Strong understanding of structural steel detailing principles, fabrication practices, and erection requirements.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and BIM models, and translate them into accurate shop and erection drawings.
- Experience working within BIM workflows and familiarity with related tools or platforms (e.g., model coordination, clash detection).
- Attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and ability to identify and resolve modeling or detailing issues.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with project managers, engineers, and checking teams.
- Relevant technical education in civil/structural engineering or drafting (diploma or degree) or equivalent experience in steel detailing.
- Prior experience in US structural steel projects or international detailing standards is an advantage.
- Ability to work on-site in Egmore and manage tasks within project timelines and quality standards.
