Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Store Cashier role based in Kolkata.

The Store

Cashier is responsible for operating the cash register, processing customer purchases, handling cash, card, and digital payments accurately, and issuing receipts. The role includes greeting customers, answering basic product or price-related queries, and maintaining a clean and organized checkout area.

Cashier also assists with bagging items, checking price labels, and reporting any billing or payment discrepancies to the supervisor.



Additional responsibilities may include supporting basic inventory checks at the counter, following store policies and safety procedures, and collaborating with other team members to ensure smooth store operations.

Qualifications

- Ability to handle cash, card, and digital transactions accurately and responsibly.

- Strong customer service skills, including polite communication and professional behavior.

- Basic numerical and computing skills for working with POS systems and billing software.

- Attention to detail to minimize billing errors and ensure accurate record-keeping.

- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as per store requirements.

- Prior experience in retail or cashier roles is an advantage but not mandatory.

- Minimum high school education or equivalent; additional training in retail or accounting is a plus.
