1. Job Purpose

To provide safe, compassionate, and quality nursing care to patients, assist doctors during clinical procedures, maintain accurate patient records, and ensure compliance with hospital policies, infection-control practices, and NABH standards.

1. Key Responsibilities

Patient Care

- Assess and monitor patients’ clinical condition and vital signs.

- Provide medication and treatment as prescribed by the doctor.

- Maintain proper nursing care and ensure patient comfort and safety.

- Assist patients with activities of daily living as required.

- Identify and promptly report any deterioration in the patient’s condition.

- Maintain proper documentation of all nursing care provided.

Clinical Duties

- Administer medicines, injections, IV fluids, and other treatments as per prescription and hospital protocols.

- Assist doctors during examinations, procedures, surgeries, and emergencies.

- Maintain and monitor IV lines, catheters, drains, and other devices as applicable.

- Follow medication safety practices, including the right patient, drug, dose, route, time, and documentation.

- Ensure proper collection, identification, and transportation of patient samples.

Emergency &

- Critical Care

- Respond promptly to emergency situations.

- Assist in Code Blue and other emergency procedures.

- Maintain emergency equipment and ensure availability of essential supplies.

- Follow hospital emergency protocols and escalation procedures.

Infection Prevention &

- Control

- Follow hand-hygiene and standard precautions at all times.





- Use appropriate PPE according to the procedure and risk involved.

- Follow biomedical waste segregation and disposal protocols.

- Maintain cleanliness and aseptic technique in patient-care areas.

- Participate in infection-control activities and audits.

Documentation &

- Records

- Maintain accurate and timely nursing notes, medication records, vital charts, intake/output charts, and other required records.

- Ensure all entries are legible, dated, timed, and appropriately authenticated.

- Maintain confidentiality of patient information.

- Ensure proper handover of patients and pending investigations/treatments during shift changes.

Patient Safety &

- Quality

- Follow NABH standards and hospital policies.

- Implement patient identification and fall-prevention protocols.

- Ensure safe positioning and use of side rails where indicated.

- Report incidents, near misses, medication errors, and adverse events as per hospital policy.

- Participate in quality-improvement activities, audits, training, and patient-safety initiatives.

Communication &

- Professional Conduct

- Communicate respectfully with patients, attendants, doctors, and other healthcare staff.

- Provide appropriate patient education regarding medications, procedures, diet, hygiene,



and discharge instructions.

- Maintain professional appearance, punctuality, discipline, and confidentiality.

- Wear the prescribed uniform and appropriate footwear and maintain proper grooming standards.

1. Qualifications

- B.Sc. Nursing / GNM from a recognized institution.

- Valid registration with the State Nursing Council.

- Relevant hospital experience preferred.

1. Required Skills

- Good clinical and nursing skills.

- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.

- Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently.

- Basic computer and documentation skills.

- Knowledge of infection prevention, patient safety, and NABH requirements.

- Quality and safety of patient care.

- Accuracy and completeness of nursing documentation.

- Medication administration and patient identification compliance.

- Infection-control compliance.

- Timely response to emergencies.

- Patient satisfaction and communication.

- Compliance with hospital policies and NABH standards.

- Attendance, punctuality, teamwork, and professional conduct.

1. Working Conditions

- Shift-based duty, including day/night shifts as assigned.

- May be required to work during emergencies, weekends, and holidays according to the duty roster.

- Must maintain professional conduct and patient confidentiality at all times.

Pay: ₹8,000.00 - ₹12,000.00 per month
