Domain / Platform: Flutter (Mobile - iOS/Android & Web)

Role Summary

As a Senior Manual QA Engineer on our client engagement team, you will lead the operational takeover and quality stabilization of multi-platform Flutter applications (iOS, Android, and Web). In this role, you will transition testing responsibilities from an outgoing vendor team, audit existing test artifacts, identify coverage gaps, and establish rigorous manual testing processes. Your primary mission is to expand end-to-end test coverage, catch defects before they reach production,



and maintain high standards across Google’s digital products.

Key Responsibilities

● Vendor Transition & Knowledge Acquisition: Lead the operational takeover of testing scope, documentation, and test cases from the incumbent vendor team with zero disruption to active development cycles.

● Test Strategy & Execution: Design, maintain, and execute comprehensive test suites and manual test scenarios tailored for Flutter applications across iOS, Android, and Web platforms.

● Exploratory & Edge-Case Testing: Conduct systematic exploratory, usability, cross-browser, and multi-device testing to identify edge-case defects early in the development lifecycle.

● Defect Lifecycle Management: Identify, document, prioritize, and track bugs using client issue-tracking systems (e.g., Buganizer/Jira), providing precise reproduction steps, logs, and contextual data.

● Test Coverage Expansion: Perform gap analyses on legacy test coverage, construct risk-based testing matrices, and expand functional and regression test suites.

● Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with developers, and UX designers to clarify requirements, define acceptance criteria, and validate release readiness.

● Quality Standardization:



Establish standardized bug reporting protocols, reusable test data sets, and structured regression suites for web and mobile builds.

Required Qualifications &

Experience

● Experience: 4 years of dedicated software quality assurance experience focusing on mobile and web applications.

● Flutter Ecosystem: Practical experience testing Flutter applications across iOS, Android, and Web, with an understanding of Flutter layout behaviors, widget states, and platform-specific nuances.

● Cross-Platform Verification: Deep hands-on experience with physical device testing (iOS/Android), emulator/simulator environments, and major web browsers (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge).

● Technical Tooling: Familiarity with API testing tools (Postman, Bruno, or curl), mobile debugging tools (Android Studio, Xcode, Flutter DevTools), and browser developer console tools.

● Vendor Transition Background: Proven experience stepping into legacy or underperforming project environments and successfully taking ownership of QA operations.

● Process Knowledge: Robust command of Agile/Scrum methodologies, SDLC/STLC, and shift-left quality principles.

● Communication: Clear, concise technical communication skills for bug reporting and cross-functional coordination.

● Work from Guadalajara office five days a week.

Preferred Qualifications

● Familiarity with accessibility (a11y) and internationalization (i18n) testing standards.

● Basic understanding of Dart to assist developers with root-cause analysis.
