Role Description The Solar Field Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based at Solar Installation sites (in West Bengal or Africa). This role involves conducting field assessments, overseeing installation and commissioning of solar systems, and performing routine and corrective maintenance on solar irrigation, rooftop, and other solar solutions.

The Solar Field

Engineer will diagnose technical issues, carry out troubleshooting, and provide on-site technical support to ensure optimal performance and safety of systems. The role includes coordinating with project managers, suppliers, and customers, preparing technical reports and documentation, and ensuring compliance with quality standards and applicable regulations.

Engineer will also support training and guidance for technicians and contribute to continuous improvement of field processes.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Troubleshooting and Technical Support skills for solar power systems and related electrical equipment.
- Candidates should possess effective Communication and Field Service skills to interact with customers, site teams, and internal stakeholders.
- Candidates should possess Project Management skills to plan, schedule, and monitor installation and maintenance activities.
- Relevant technical knowledge in solar PV systems, inverters, electrical wiring, and safety standards.
- Degree or diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Renewable Energy, or related engineering discipline.
- Ability to work in office in varied field conditions, including remote locations, and to travel as required.
- Proficiency in using basic test instruments and tools, and in preparing technical reports and documentation.
- Prior experience in solar projects, EPC, or field engineering is preferred.
