Role Description The Social Media Marketing Specialist is a full-time, in office role based in Chennai, requiring at least 1 year of experience in social media marketing or digital marketing. The role is responsible for planning, creating, and publishing engaging B2B social media content across multiple platforms to support brand awareness, audience growth, lead generation, and business objectives.

Day-to-day responsibilities include managing social media calendars, developing industry-focused post copy and content ideas, planning video content and reel strategies, developing video concepts and scripts, and coordinating with design and video teams to execute content. The role will also involve monitoring engagement, responding to comments, analyzing performance, and optimizing content based on analytics.

The specialist will collaborate with the marketing team and B2B clients to understand their business, target audience, products, and marketing goals, and translate them into effective social media and video content strategies. The role also involves client coordination, content approvals, campaign planning, and maintaining smooth communication with clients.





The candidate should have a good understanding of social media platforms, B2B marketing, content creation, video trends, and platform-specific best practices. They may also support paid social campaigns when required and prepare regular performance reports.

The role requires staying updated with B2B social media trends, video formats, platform updates, industry developments, and emerging content strategies to continuously improve content quality and campaign performance.

Qualifications

- Strong skills in Social Media Marketing, Social Media Content Creation, and Video Content Strategy, with experience managing brand pages, campaigns, content calendars, and video content planning.
- Knowledge of Digital Marketing and Marketing principles, including audience targeting, campaign planning, content strategy, and performance tracking.
- Experience in developing video content strategies, including reel concepts, hooks, scripts, content formats, and platform-specific video ideas.
- Excellent Communication and Client Coordination skills, with the ability to understand client requirements, communicate updates, coordinate approvals, and maintain smooth client relationships.
- Excellent writing skills, with the ability to create clear, engaging, and brand-aligned content.
- Familiarity with social media analytics tools and a basic understanding of paid advertising on platforms such as Meta, YouTube, and LinkedIn.
- Ability to work on-site in Chennai, collaborate with cross-functional teams, coordinate with clients, and manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Prior experience in a social media or digital marketing role; agency experience is an advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Media, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
