Job Purpose

- We are looking for an experienced Shift In-Charge – LABSA & AOS to manage shift-wise production operations and ensure safe, efficient, and consistent manufacturing of LABSA 90/96 and AOS. The candidate will be responsible for monitoring process parameters, achieving production targets, maintaining product quality, managing shift manpower, troubleshooting process-related issues, and coordinating with Maintenance, QC, EHS, and other functions for smooth plant operations.

Key Responsibilities
- Handle complete shift operations for LABSA 90/96 and AOS production.
- Monitor critical process parameters and ensure operations are maintained within approved operating conditions.
- Achieve daily/shift-wise production targets while maintaining consistent product quality.
- Monitor production processes, equipment performance, and operating conditions to minimize downtime and process deviations.
- Manage and deploy shift manpower effectively to ensure uninterrupted plant operations.
- Supervise operators and ensure adherence to defined operating procedures and work instructions.
- Troubleshoot process and operational issues and take appropriate corrective action.
- Coordinate with Maintenance for breakdowns, preventive maintenance, equipment issues, and timely restoration of operations.




- Coordinate with QC for in-process and finished-product quality requirements and resolve process-related quality issues.
- Coordinate with EHS to ensure compliance with safety procedures, environmental requirements, PPE, and safe chemical handling practices.
- Ensure strict adherence to SOPs, safety standards, process guidelines, and environmental norms.
- Monitor raw material consumption, process losses, utilities, and other key operational parameters.
- Maintain accurate shift reports, production records, batch/process records, logbooks, checklists, and other operational documentation.
- Conduct shift handovers effectively and communicate production status, abnormalities, maintenance issues, and pending activities to the incoming shift.
- Identify opportunities for improving productivity, process efficiency, energy consumption, and reduction of operational losses.
- Ensure proper housekeeping and safe working conditions across the production area.
- Support investigations related to process deviations, quality issues, equipment failures, and safety incidents.
- Ensure minimum downtime and maximum plant availability while maintaining safe and stable operations.

Required Qualifications

- Diploma / B.Tech in Chemical Engineering from a recognized institution
- 7–9 years of relevant experience in chemical manufacturing operations.
- Mandatory hands-on experience in LABSA 90/96 and AOS manufacturing/production operations.
- Solid knowledge of chemical process operations, shift management, process troubleshooting, and plant safety.
