We work with multiple brands and creators, producing content for platforms such as Instagram, YouTube and LinkedIn. We are looking for a creative and technically strong Video Editor who understands modern social media content and can turn raw footage into engaging, polished videos.

Key Responsibilities - Edit Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts and other short-form content - Edit podcasts and long-form YouTube videos - Create engaging podcast trailers, teasers and highlight clips - Edit talking-head and educational content - Work on brand videos, advertisements and event content - Add clean and engaging:

- Captions - Graphics - Images - Sound effects - B-roll - Music - Transitions - Perform basic colour correction and colour grading - Clean and balance audio - Select the strongest moments from long-form footage for short-form content - Follow references, scripts and client briefs accurately - Maintain consistency with each client's visual identity - Organise project files and footage properly - Manage multiple editing projects simultaneously - Deliver projects within assigned deadlines - Make revisions based on internal and client feedback - Coordinate with cinematographers, social media managers and the production team What We're Looking For The ideal candidate should have:
- Strong understanding of social media video editing - Good sense of pacing,



storytelling and viewer retention - Ability to identify hooks and interesting moments in footage - Understanding of current Instagram Reel and YouTube editing styles - Solid attention to detail - Good understanding of music selection and sound design - Basic understanding of colour grading and audio processing - Ability to work independently while following creative direction - Ability to handle deadlines in a fast-paced agency environment Software Skills Candidates should be comfortable with:
- Adobe Premiere Pro - Adobe After Effects - Adobe Photoshop or similar tools Knowledge of DaVinci Resolve or other professional creative software is an advantage.

Editing Styles You Should Be Comfortable

With You should be able to work across different editing styles, including:

- Clean podcast editing - Fast-paced social media reels - Talking-head videos - Educational content - Cinematic promotional videos - Corporate/brand content - UGC-style advertisements - Motion graphics-based reels - Event highlight videos Bonus Skills Preference may be given to candidates with experience in:
- Advanced After Effects - Motion graphics - Professional colour grading - Sound design - YouTube editing - Podcast editing - Meta/Instagram ad creatives - AI-assisted editing workflows Portfolio Requirement A portfolio/showreel is mandatory.

Candidates should ideally share examples of:

- 2–3 short-form Reels - At least 1 long-form or podcast edit - Any motion graphics or advanced editing work Applications without relevant work samples may not be considered. What Matters to Us We care more about your actual editing ability, creativity and understanding of content than your degree. We're looking for someone who can look at raw footage and think: “How can I make this more engaging?” —not someone who simply cuts clips together.

Work Environment You'll be working closely with yKnot's production, editing and social media teams on content for multiple clients and industries. The role involves a mix of structured client work and creative experimentation, so we're looking for someone who can maintain quality while working efficiently.
