Location: Kazhakoottam & Thamapnoor, Trivandrum, Kerala

Salary: ₹15,000 – ₹25,000 per month

Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced and target-oriented Senior Student Counsellor / Counsellor Lead to join our team at Thampanoor and Kazhakottam, Trivandrum.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience in student counselling, admissions, lead management, follow-ups, and admission conversions. The candidate will be responsible for handling prospective students and parents, achieving admission targets, supporting junior counsellors, and ensuring a smooth admission process.

Candidates with experience in educational institutions, colleges, training institutes, coaching centres, or EdTech organisations will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities

- Counsel students and parents regarding courses, career opportunities, and educational pathways.
- Understand students' academic background, interests, and career objectives and recommend suitable courses.
- Handle enquiries through phone calls, walk-ins, WhatsApp, online enquiries, and other communication channels.
- Follow up with prospective students and convert enquiries into admissions.
- Explain course details, eligibility, fees, duration, curriculum, and career opportunities.
- Manage assigned leads and ensure timely and consistent follow-ups.
- Achieve assigned monthly counselling and admission targets.
- Monitor lead status, follow-ups, and admission conversions.
- Maintain accurate records of enquiries,



counselling sessions, follow-ups, and admissions.
- Guide and support junior counsellors in handling leads and achieving targets.
- Coordinate with the academic, placement, and management teams for a smooth admission process.
- Monitor pending leads and ensure timely follow-up.
- Participate in seminars, student outreach programmes, educational events, and promotional activities.
- Handle student and parent queries professionally and provide appropriate solutions.
- Provide post-admission support and maintain good relationships with students.
- Prepare regular reports on enquiries, follow-ups, counselling, and admission conversions.
- Support management in implementing strategies to improve admissions and counselling performance.

Target & Performance Expectations
- Achieve assigned individual monthly admission targets.
- Maintain effective lead follow-up and conversion.
- Ensure timely handling of all assigned enquiries.
- Support and monitor the performance of junior counsellors where required.
- Take responsibility for achieving counselling and admission objectives assigned by management.
- Performance will be evaluated based on lead management, counselling quality,



follow-up efficiency, admission conversion, and target achievement.

Eligibility & Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
- 2 years of relevant experience preferred.
- Candidates with minimum 1 year of relevant experience and strong admission/sales performance may also be considered.
- Prior experience in an educational institution, college, training institute, coaching centre, or EdTech organisation is preferred.
- Experience in student counselling, admissions, tele-counselling, educational sales, academic counselling, or business development will be an advantage.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong counselling, convincing, negotiation, and follow-up skills.
- Ability to handle admission targets and work in a target-oriented environment.
- Leadership ability to guide and support junior counsellors.
- Qualified communication skills with students and parents.
- Basic computer knowledge and proficiency in MS Office / Google Workspace.
- Fluency in English and Malayalam is preferred.
- Proactive, responsible, and result-oriented approach.
