About the role

We are looking for a senior Power BI developer who combines strong hands-on technical expertise with excellent communication. You will own reporting solutions from requirements gathering and data modeling through development, deployment and production support, working directly with customers and internal teams.

Key responsibilities

- Lead customer discussions, clarify reporting requirements and translate business needs into clear KPIs and technical specifications.

- Design and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards, reusable semantic models and reliable data pipelines.

- Develop advanced DAX measures, Power Query transformations and SQL queries for accurate, scalable reporting.

- Optimize models, queries, visuals and refresh performance using appropriate diagnostic tools.

- Manage Power BI Service workspaces, gateways, scheduled and incremental refresh, access permissions and row-level security.

- Validate source-to-report accuracy, investigate discrepancies and resolve production issues.

- Present dashboards and insights to non-technical stakeholders, deliver user training and communicate progress, risks and timelines clearly.

- Review BI work, mentor team members and maintain technical documentation and reporting standards.

Required skills and experience





- 5+ years of relevant BI or analytics experience, including at least 4 years of hands-on Power BI development.

- Strong expertise in Power BI Desktop and Service, DAX, Power Query (M), SQL and dimensional modeling.

- Practical understanding of fact-table grain, relationships, filter context, time intelligence and star-schema design.

- Experience with performance tuning, query folding, incremental refresh and choosing between Import and DirectQuery modes.

- Hands-on experience implementing security, deployment, refresh monitoring and production support.

- Ability to independently gather requirements, define business metrics and own delivery across the BI lifecycle.

- Excellent verbal and written English, with the ability to run client calls, ask precise questions and explain technical concepts simply.

- Solid problem-solving skills, attention to data accuracy and a clear understanding of business reporting needs.

Good to have

- Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Databricks or Snowflake experience.

- Experience with DAX Studio, Tabular Editor and Performance Analyzer.

- Power BI Embedded, paginated reports, deployment pipelines, Git or CI/CD experience.

- Microsoft PL-300 or relevant Fabric certifications.
