Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior Manager – HR to lead HR operations at the manufacturing facility in Ponneri. The ideal candidate should have solid experience in industrial relations, union handling, statutory compliance, employee relations, and HR operations within a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and manage overall HR operations for the manufacturing plant.
- Handle industrial relations and union-related matters effectively.
- Maintain positive relationships with employees, workmen, and union representatives.
- Manage collective bargaining, wage negotiations, settlements, and disciplinary proceedings.
- Ensure compliance with applicable labour laws and statutory regulations.
- Handle labour department inspections, notices, and statutory documentation.
- Ensure timely completion of all statutory compliance requirements.
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures in line with company requirements.
- Manage employee grievances, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.
- Coordinate with plant management and business leaders on workforce-related matters.
- Monitor manpower planning, recruitment, onboarding, and workforce deployment.




- Manage contract labour and coordinate with contractors to ensure statutory compliance.
- Maintain HR records, registers, and other compliance documentation.
- Support employee engagement, training, performance management, and retention initiatives.
- Prepare and present HR/IR reports and MIS to senior management.
- Advise management on labour relations, compliance, and employee-related matters.

Candidate Profile
- 15–20 years of experience in HR, preferably in a manufacturing/plant environment.
- Strong hands-on experience in IR, union handling, and labour compliance is mandatory.
- Should have experience managing workmen and large-scale workforce operations.
- Strong knowledge of applicable labour laws and statutory requirements.
- Candidates who are currently handling plant HR / IR responsibilities will be preferred.
