Role Overview
You will be the main point of contact for clients after they join iNVESTT. You'll onboard them, build their financial plans, explain portfolio changes in simple language, and keep them invested and confident when markets are flat or falling. You'll work directly with the founder and the research team.
Key Responsibilities
Client Onboarding
- Onboard recent Direct MF advisory clients end-to-end: Financial planning, profiling, goal discovery, portfolio data collection & portfolio creation.
- Connecting every quarter with clients to review and explain the rationale.
Financial Planning
- Build complete financial plans covering goals, cash flow, emergency funds, retirement, children's education, and wealth creation.
- Track goals achivement every quarter so clients can track & reach financial freedom faster.
- Advise on tax-efficient investing under Indian income tax rules, including capital gains, regime selection, and tax harvesting
- Guide NRI clients on DTAA provisions, residential status, and cross-border tax implications
Insurance Needs Analysis
- Review clients' health and life insurance policies and identify gaps
- Recommend appropriate coverage levels , sell remaining policies and cross sell insurance (Health &
- Life ) where required.
Portfolio Reviews &
- Rebalancing
- Explain portfolio recommendations clearly: what is recommended, why, and how it fits the client's goals. Eveything with internal algorithm.
- Conduct quarterly portfolio reviews and prepare client-ready review summaries
- Track client portfolios and flag deviations from target allocation
Client Retention During Volatile Markets
- Proactively reach out to clients during sideways and bear markets with context, data, and reassurance
- Prevent panic exits and SIP stoppages through clear,
honest communication grounded in historical market behaviour
- Answer client questions on market movements using basic technical and fundamental context
Process &
- Compliance
- Maintain accurate client records, call notes, and CRM entries
- Follow SEBI compliance requirements in all client communication and documentation
Required Skills &
- Qualifications
- 1-5 years of experience in financial planning, wealth management, mutual fund advisory, or client relationship roles
- Strong knowledge of mutual funds: categories, direct vs regular plans, rolling returns, risk ratios, and fund evaluation
- Good understanding of Specialised Investment Funds (SIFs) and how they differ from mutual funds and PMS
- In-depth knowledge of financial planning, Indian taxation (capital gains, old vs new regime, deductions), and DTAA for NRIs
- Basic knowledge of technical analysis: candlesticks, chart patterns, trendlines, support and resistance
- Basic knowledge of fundamental analysis: financial statements, valuation ratios, and business quality
- Excellent communication skills in English and Telugu (Hindi is a plus)
- Ability to explain complex financial concepts in simple, jargon-free language
- Comfortable with Excel/Google Sheets and CRM tools
Preferred candidate profile
- CFP, CFA (any level).
- Graduate/Postgraduate in Finance, Commerce, Economics, or MBA (Finance)
- Experience working with salaried professionals or NRI clients
- Experience handling clients through a market correction
