Role Description The Senior Executive Purchase role is a full time, on-site position based in Kharagpur. The role involves managing end-to-end procurement activities, including identifying suppliers, obtaining quotations, negotiating prices and terms, and finalizing purchase orders in line with company policies.

The Senior Executive

Purchase will monitor inventory levels, coordinate with production, stores, and logistics teams, and ensure timely availability of raw materials, components, and services.

Responsibilities include vendor evaluation and development, maintaining accurate purchase records, tracking delivery schedules,



and resolving discrepancies related to quality, quantity, or billing. The role also includes analyzing purchase data for cost optimization, supporting audits and compliance requirements, and contributing to continuous improvement of procurement processes.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong procurement and vendor management skills, including supplier identification, negotiation, and contract management.
- Candidates should possess skills in inventory and materials management, such as demand planning, stock monitoring, and coordination with production and stores.
- Candidates should possess analytical and data-driven decision-making skills, including proficiency with spreadsheets, ERP or procurement software, and basic cost analysis.
- Candidates should possess communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of manufacturing or industrial purchasing practices, preferably in plastics, polymers, or related sectors.
- Beneficial qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Commerce, Engineering, or a related field, along with relevant experience in a purchasing or supply chain role.
- Additional beneficial skills include familiarity with GST and other commercial terms, understanding of quality standards, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, plant-based environment.
