Role Description The Senior Electrical Design Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Hyderabad, responsible for leading electrical design activities for building and industrial projects. This role includes developing detailed electrical layouts, load calculations, single-line diagrams, and specifications in compliance with applicable codes and standards. The engineer will coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and contractors to ensure integrated system design, resolve technical issues, and support project delivery from concept to commissioning.

Daily tasks involve reviewing drawings, performing design checks, preparing technical documentation, supporting tender/bid processes,



and providing guidance to junior engineers and designers. The role also includes participation in site visits, design reviews, and quality assurance activities to ensure safe, reliable, and cost-effective electrical systems.

- Design and develop electrical systems for commercial, residential, hospital, hospitality and other building projects.
- Prepare electrical layouts, single-line diagrams (SLDs), load schedules, cable schedules and other design documents.
- Coordinate electrical designs with architectural, structural, HVAC, plumbing and fire protection disciplines.
- Review drawings and ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards and project requirements.
- Participate in client meetings and coordinate with project teams.
- Support preparation of BOQs, specifications and tender documentation.
- Carry out design revisions and resolve technical coordination issues.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering.
- 8-10 years of relevant experience in an electrical building consultancy/MEP consulting firm.
- Positive knowledge of electrical building services design.
- Excellent Proficiency in AutoCAD
- Knowledge of Indian electrical codes and standards.
- Strong coordination and problem-solving skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
