Backend Engineer – Python & FastAPI

We are looking for an experienced Backend Engineer to design, build, and operate production-grade web applications and APIs. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in Python, FastAPI, and contemporary backend systems, with a strong track record of deploying and supporting applications in production environments.

Required Qualifications

- 5+ years of software development experience, with a strong focus on building and deploying production-grade web applications and backend systems.
- Strong programming experience with Python and deep knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming

(OOP) principles and patterns.
- In-depth, hands-on experience with FastAPI, including asynchronous programming, Pydantic models,

dependency injection, and web server gateways such as Uvicorn.
- Solid understanding of workers, threads, and concurrency models in Python (including async/await,





threading, multiprocessing, and background task processing).
- Hands-on experience designing, building, and consuming RESTful APIs (and familiarity with WebSockets where relevant).
- Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL and MySQL, including SQL, database design,

ORM concepts, and query optimization.
- Experience implementing authentication, authorization, and application security best practices.
- Proven experience deploying and supporting applications in production environments (including monitoring, troubleshooting, and operational ownership).
- Hands-on experience with Docker and deploying or supporting applications on AWS (EC2, S3, Lambda,

ECS, API Gateway, etc.).
- Understanding of CI/CD concepts and tools such as Jenkins, along with Git/GitHub and collaborative development workflows.
- Experience using AI tools to accelerate development, debugging, and problem-solving.
- Strong debugging, analytical, and troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex production issues.
