Role Description The Senior Accountant role is a full time, remote position responsible for delivering high-quality accounting services to UK and international clients, primarily in partnership with accounting practices. Day-to-day tasks include preparing and reviewing bookkeeping entries, VAT returns, year-end accounts, tax computations and returns, and management reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant standards and regulations.

Accountant will oversee reconciliations, maintain general ledgers, analyze financial data, and support month-end and year-end closing processes. This role also involves reviewing the work of junior team members, providing guidance,



and contributing to process improvements and best practices.

Accountant will collaborate closely with client-facing teams, maintain clear documentation, and uphold service-level expectations while working efficiently in a remote environment.

Qualifications

- Strong technical accounting skills in areas such as bookkeeping, general ledger management, reconciliations, VAT, year-end accounts, tax returns, and management reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (such as Tally, QuickBooks, Xero, or similar) and Microsoft Excel.
- Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities, including reviewing financial data for accuracy, identifying discrepancies, and recommending corrective actions.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with remote teams, coordinate with client-facing staff, and document processes clearly.
- Organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple engagements, meet deadlines, and maintain high attention to detail in a remote setting.
- Experience working with UK accounting standards and tax regulations is highly beneficial; international exposure is an advantage.
