Senior Accountant

We are actively looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our Finance & Accounts team. The ideal candidate should have strong accounting, taxation, compliance, reconciliation, and financial reporting experience. Candidates with experience in E-commerce accounting and Import/Export transactions will be preferred.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

- Manage day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, bank entries, and journal entries.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Handle GST accounting, GST returns, input tax credit reconciliation, TDS calculations, payments, and returns.
- Perform bank reconciliations, vendor reconciliations, customer reconciliations, and ledger scrutiny.
- Monitor outstanding receivables and payables and coordinate with relevant teams for timely collections and payments.
- Manage accounting related to E-commerce marketplaces such as Amazon, Flipkart, and other online sales channels.
- Reconcile marketplace settlements, commissions, shipping charges, returns, refunds, TCS/TDS deductions, and other marketplace fees.
- Reconcile sales data between marketplaces, ERP/accounting software, GST returns, and bank settlements.
- Handle accounting and documentation related to Imports and Exports, including purchase transactions, foreign currency payments, customs duties, freight, clearing charges, and landed cost calculations.
- Review and account for Bills of Entry, import invoices, freight invoices, CHA charges, customs duty, IGST, and other import-related expenses.
- Coordinate with Customs House Agents (CHA), freight forwarders, banks, suppliers, and internal procurement teams for import/export accounting requirements.
- Monitor foreign supplier payments, advances, outstanding balances, and foreign currency transactions.
- Assist with inventory accounting, stock reconciliation, landed cost allocation, and cost of goods sold (COGS).
- Prepare MIS reports,



cash-flow reports, profitability reports, expense analysis, and management reports.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
- Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, banks, and statutory authorities when required.
- Ensure proper documentation and maintenance of accounting records for audits and statutory compliance.
- Assist with year-end closing, statutory audits, tax audits, and internal audits.
- Review accounting entries and reconciliations prepared by junior accounting team members.
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timely closure of monthly accounts.
- Identify accounting discrepancies and implement appropriate corrective measures and internal controls.

Preferred Experience & Skills
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience working as a Senior Accountant / Accounts Executive / Finance Executive.
- Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, accounting principles, reconciliations, and statutory compliance.
- Experience with Tally / ERP / accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, reconciliations, and financial analysis.
- E-commerce accounting experience is highly preferred.
- Import and Export accounting experience is preferred.
- Understanding of Bills of Entry, customs duty, IGST, foreign remittances, landed costing, freight, and import documentation will be an advantage.
- Experience handling Amazon/Flipkart marketplace settlements and reconciliations will be an added advantage.
- Solid analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Ability to independently manage accounting activities and meet statutory and management reporting deadlines.

Experience 2+ years of relevant accounting experience preferred.

Candidates with prior experience in E-commerce, Import/Export, Trading, Distribution, or Retail businesses will be given preference.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
