Industry: Freight Forwarding / Shipping Lines / Logistics – Mandatory

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant with 10+ years of accounting experience and mandatory exposure to the Freight Forwarding, Shipping Line, or Logistics industry . The candidate should be capable of independently managing complete accounting operations, statutory compliance, financial reporting, finalization, and the Accounts team.

Key Responsibilities & Skills

- Manage complete day-to-day accounting and maintain accurate books of accounts.
- Handle sales, purchase, expense, receipt, payment, journal, and adjustment entries.
- Manage Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), customer/vendor ledgers, ageing, outstanding collections, and reconciliations .
- Handle freight/shipping accounting , including shipment-wise revenue, freight income, vendor costs, operational expenses, advances and customer/vendor recoveries.
- Manage GST, TDS, taxation and statutory compliance , including GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-2B reconciliation, ITC and TDS returns.
- Handle month-end/year-end closing, accruals,



provisions, depreciation, adjustments, and finalization of accounts .
- Prepare/review P&L;, Balance Sheet, Trial Balance, MIS, cash flow, profitability, ageing, and other financial reports .
- Coordinate with statutory auditors, tax/GST consultants , and handle notices, reconciliations, and audit requirements.
- Lead and supervise the Accounts team , delegate work, review accuracy, and ensure timely completion.
- Train and mentor junior accountants on accounting, taxation, reconciliation, documentation, and ERP processes .
- Strong hands-on knowledge of Tally/ERP and MS Excel .
- Strong leadership, communication, analytical, decision-making, problem-solving, and people-management skills .
- High level of accuracy, integrity, ownership, and accountability .

Mandatory Requirements
- 10+ years of relevant accounting experience.
- Freight Forwarding / Shipping Line / Logistics accounting experience.
- Strong GST, TDS, taxation, reconciliation, finalization, MIS, and audit knowledge.
- Experience handling and training an Accounts team.
- Strong Tally/ERP and MS Excel skills.
