Role Description The Assistant Accountant will support daily accounting operations, including recording financial transactions, maintaining ledgers, and assisting with accounts payable and receivable.

Responsibilities include preparing and reconciling bank statements, verifying invoices and expense vouchers, and helping with monthly and annual closing activities. The role also involves maintaining organized financial records, supporting tax and compliance documentation, and preparing basic financial reports for management review.



This is a full-time on-site role based in Kanpur, requiring close collaboration with the finance team and other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial data.

Qualifications

- Strong knowledge of basic accounting principles, including journal entries, ledgers, and reconciliations.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, ERP systems) and MS Office tools, especially Excel.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry, documentation, and record-keeping.
- Ability to analyze financial information, identify discrepancies, and support corrective actions.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with internal teams.
- Organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field is preferred.
- Prior experience or internship in an accounting or finance role will be an advantage.
