Senior Admission Counsellor Organization: Samalkha Group of Institutions (SGI) Job Type: Full-Time Working Days: Monday to Saturday Office Timings: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM Website: www.sgi.ac.in Samalkha Group of Institutions (SGI) is looking for an experienced and result-oriented Senior Admission Counsellor with a proven track record in student counselling and admission conversions. The primary responsibility of this role is to counsel prospective students and parents, both face-to-face and over calls, and convert qualified leads into confirmed admissions at SGI. This is a target-driven admissions role and is suitable for candidates who have prior experience in college/university admissions, education counselling, EdTech, or a similar student-enrolment environment.

Key Responsibilities Provide professional face-to-face counselling to students and parents visiting the campus. Call prospective students from leads provided by the institution and understand their academic interests, eligibility, and career goals. Explain SGI’s courses, admission process, eligibility, fee structure, scholarships, campus facilities, placements, and career opportunities .

Convert prospective students and qualified leads into confirmed admissions . Regularly follow up with interested students and parents through calls and other approved communication channels. Handle objections and queries from students and parents effectively to improve conversion rates.

Maintain accurate records of leads, follow-ups, counselling status,



and admissions in the CRM. Work consistently towards achieving individual and institutional admission targets . Coordinate with the admissions and marketing teams to ensure timely follow-up on new enquiries and leads.

Build trust with students and parents through transparent and professional counselling.

Candidate Requirements

Prior experience in admissions/student counselling is strongly preferred. Candidates should have a proven track record of achieving admission or sales targets . Robust face-to-face counselling and tele-counselling skills. Excellent communication, persuasion, negotiation, and follow-up skills. Ability to confidently counsel both students and parents . Strong understanding of lead conversion and the admissions funnel. Comfortable working in a target-oriented environment .

Experience using CRM or lead-management systems will be an advantage. Candidates with experience in colleges, universities, education consultancies, coaching institutes, or EdTech companies will be preferred.

The ideal candidate should be capable of independently handling a prospective student from the initial enquiry and counselling stage through follow-ups to final admission conversion .
