Role Description The Screw Compressor Operator is a full-time, on-site role based at the Castlerock Fisheries facility in Mumbai. The role involves operating and monitoring screw compressors used in the cold storage and processing areas, ensuring optimal performance and continuous operation.

The operator will perform routine checks on pressure, temperature, oil levels, and alarms, and promptly report or address any deviations. Daily tasks include starting and shutting down compressors according to standard operating procedures, conducting basic preventive maintenance, and keeping accurate logs of operating parameters and maintenance activities.



The role also requires coordinating with maintenance and production teams, following safety and environmental guidelines, and supporting smooth, reliable refrigeration for seafood processing and storage.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess technical skills in operating industrial screw compressors, refrigeration systems, and related mechanical equipment.
- Candidates should possess skills in routine inspection, basic troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance of compressors and auxiliary systems.
- Candidates should possess skills in reading gauges, monitoring control panels, and maintaining accurate operational and maintenance records.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of workplace safety, equipment lockout/tagout procedures, and safe handling of refrigerants.
- Relevant vocational training, ITI or diploma in mechanical, refrigeration, or industrial maintenance is preferred.
- Prior experience in cold storage, food processing, or industrial refrigeration operations will be an advantage.
- Ability to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays as required, and to collaborate effectively with production and maintenance teams.
- Solid attention to detail, reliability, and commitment to maintaining equipment performance and product quality.
