Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced SAP MM Consultant to support our client’s Application Management Services (AMS) operations.

The role involves production support, incident and change management, and ensuring stability of business-as-usual (BAU) operations. The consultant will work across procurement and inventory management processes, support integrations, and handle continuous improvements.

The ideal candidate will have strong functional expertise in procurement lifecycle, inventory management, PR/PO release strategies, workflows, and plant setup, along with experience in IDoc monitoring, middleware integrations (e.g., MuleSoft), and invoice automation solutions.

This role requires flexibility to work in a remote, shift-based AMS support model supporting global regions.

Key Responsibilities

1. Production Support & Incident Management

- Provide L2/L3 support for SAP MM processes including procurement and inventory management.
- Analyse, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents and service requests within defined SLAs.
- Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement preventive measures.
- Monitor system health including background jobs, IDocs, and interface queues.
- Troubleshoot IDoc failures and middleware integration issues (e.g., MuleSoft).
- Support issues related to PR/PO release strategies and approval workflows.

2. Change & Enhancement Management

- Analyse and implement minor enhancements and configuration changes aligned with global templates.
- Maintain and enhance PR/PO release strategies and workflows.
- Support workflow updates including approval matrix and agent determination.
- Prepare Functional Specifications (FS) for RICEFW objects and coordinate with ABAP teams.
- Support transport management across DEV, QA, and PROD environments.

3. Business Process Support





Support end-to-end Procurement and Inventory Management processes, including:

- Purchase Requisitions (PR)
- Purchase Orders (PO)
- PR/PO Release Strategies & Approval Workflows
- Goods Receipt (GR) / Goods Issue (GI)
- Invoice Verification (MIRO)
- Subcontracting and Consignment
- Stock Transport Orders (STO) including Intercompany STO
- Batch Management and Split Valuation
- Current Plant Setup and Enterprise Structure configuration
- Vendor invoice processing and third-party invoice scanning/OCR solutions

4. Master Data Management

- Maintain and support Material Master, Vendor/Business Partner, Info Records, and Source Lists.
- Perform data corrections, mass updates, and migration activities (LSMW, BDC, Mass Maintenance).
- Support plant rollouts and master data extensions.
- Maintain configurations for Batch Management and Split Valuation.

5. Integration & Interface Support

- Support integrations between MM and FI, SD, PP, QM, and WM/EWM modules.
- Resolve IDoc, interface, and workflow issues in collaboration with technical teams.
- Support middleware and external system integrations (procurement & invoice processing tools).

6. Testing & Release Support

- Support unit testing, regression testing, and UAT.
- Prepare test scenarios and scripts.
- Assist in defect analysis and resolution.

7. Documentation & Knowledge Management

- Maintain SOPs, configuration documents, and knowledge base articles.
- Provide user support and training for recurring issues.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.





Required Skills & Qualifications

Experience

- 8–10 years of SAP experience with strong focus on SAP MM in AMS/support environments.
- Experience with SAP ECC 6.0 and/or S/4HANA Sourcing & Procurement.
- Proven experience in production support and incident management.
- Minimum 4–5 years in SAP production support, handling P1/P2 incidents.

Functional Expertise

- Strong knowledge of procurement lifecycle and inventory management.
- Experience in Enterprise Structure configuration and plant setup.
- Expertise in PR/PO release strategies and workflows.
- Experience with Subcontracting, Consignment, STO, and Intercompany STO.
- Hands-on experience in Batch Management and Split Valuation.
- Knowledge of Invoice Verification and vendor invoice automation.

Technical Exposure

- Experience with LSMW, BDC, and Mass Maintenance tools.
- Experience working with ABAP teams on RICEFW objects.
- Basic knowledge of SAP Workflow configuration and monitoring.
- Experience in IDoc monitoring and troubleshooting.
- Exposure to middleware tools (e.g., MuleSoft) and external integrations.

Tools & Methodologies

- Experience with ticketing tools (e.g., ServiceNow).
- Familiarity with ITIL-based support processes and SLA management.

Education

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- SAP MM / S/4HANA certification preferred.
