Job Summary

We are looking for a Sales Engineer to drive sales of capital equipment and industrial products by developing customer relationships, understanding technical requirements, preparing commercial proposals, and converting opportunities into orders.

The ideal candidate should have a robust combination of technical knowledge, sales ability, communication skills, and commercial understanding.

Key Responsibilities

- Identify and develop new business opportunities in assigned territories/markets.
- Generate leads through customer visits, references, exhibitions, industry networks, and digital channels.
- Understand customer requirements and recommend appropriate equipment or technical solutions.
- Conduct product presentations, technical discussions, demonstrations, and customer meetings.
- Prepare and submit technical and commercial quotations in coordination with internal teams.
- Develop and maintain relationships with customers.
- Follow up on enquiries, quotations, negotiations, and order closures.
- Prepare sales forecasts, opportunity pipelines, and regular sales reports.
- Coordinate with engineering, production, procurement, service, and finance teams to ensure smooth order execution.
- Negotiate commercial terms, pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and other contractual requirements within company guidelines.
- Support collections and ensure timely payment from customers.
- Provide after-sales support and coordinate with the service team to maintain customer satisfaction.




- Achieve assigned sales targets and contribute to overall business growth.

Technical Responsibilities Depending on the product, the Sales Engineer may be expected to:

- Read and understand technical drawings, specifications, datasheets, and RFQs.
- Prepare equipment selection and technical proposals.
- Understand equipment capacity, performance parameters, operating conditions, and applications.
- Work with engineering teams to customize solutions according to customer requirements.
- Participate in technical and commercial negotiations.
- Review customer specifications and identify deviations or technical clarifications.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's/Diploma degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics.
- 2–5 years of experience in B2B industrial sales, capital equipment, machinery, automation, engineering products, or related industries.
- Experience in selling high-value equipment or technically complex products is preferred.
- Strong understanding of technical sales and the industrial buying process.
- Willingness to travel extensively for customer visits.

Preferred Candidate Profile The candidate should be technically competent, commercially aware, and customer-focused. Experience dealing with factories, plant heads, purchase teams, maintenance departments, consultants, EPC companies, and senior management will be an advantage. Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
