Role Description The Retired Electrical Engineer will provide expert project management services, client interactions, review and obtaining approval of design and engineering projects related to extra high voltage substations, overhead transmission and distribution lines, and industrial power distribution systems. Day-to-day role involves collaborating with civil, structural, and mechanical engineers, supporting quality assurance processes,



and contributing to continuous improvement of methodologies and tools.

This is a full time, on-site role based in Kolkata, requiring regular presence at the office and project coordination meetings.

Qualifications

- The candidate must be retired from a high position in a Govt Utility like PGCIL or State utility.
- He or she must be a resident of Kolkata and must be medically fit to work as Project Manager.
- The job will need outstation visit to site or client's office outside Kolkata.
- Strong foundation in electrical power systems, including high voltage substations (AIS/GIS), transmission and distribution networks, and industrial power distribution.
- Extensive experience in design review, technical documentation, and compliance with international and national electrical standards and codes.
- Ability to mentor and guide engineering teams, communicate clearly with multidisciplinary stakeholders, and provide practical solutions for complex technical issues.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) and prior senior-level experience in utility, EPC, or consulting environments;

experience with EHV substation and overhead line projects is highly beneficial.

- Comfort working on-site in Kolkata, with readiness to contribute full-time and leverage prior career experience as a retired professional.
